Fantastic park. Great slope soaring at Tapanappa when the wind is south easterly. The lift is phenomenal.

Best way to see the Waterfall is via Tapanappa Lookout on a relatively easy trail. The track in from the Trig carpark end has several sets of step stairs.

Be also prepared for several creek crossings in the wetter months, and slippery rocks.

Fantastic park with great walking trails (good fitness level required).

The circuit track is spectacular but has some very steep sections with rock hopping required on some sections. Waking poles are highly recommended, and strongly advise doing the circuit clockwise (starting at Tapanappa lookout via Deep Creek Cove). If you do the track anticlockwise from Tapanappa via the Waterfall first, you will have a very tough uphill slog back to the car park after you have walked 10km.

We had a picnic with friends overlooking Kangaroo Island near Tapannapa campground. Awesome landscape. Numerous species of birds. Many kangaroos. Take food, water, sunscreen and walking shoes.

Off the main drag, and a bit of walking involved, but well worth it.

TIP - Expect a lot of wind at the camp grounds. Stringy bark has good toilets
