Worth the short walk to get away from the crowds at the drive-in campgrounds - get there early to get a good site as they are first-come best-served.

Rainwater water taste soooo good, I don't know how they manage to turn rain water that pure.

Just took the hiking gear for an overnight stay in Eagle Water Hole with my 3 boys. We took the shorter hike in from Cobblers Hill campsite which was still quite steep in places but very lush and dense bush for this time of year. Plenty of Kangaroos and birdlife to see as well as views across to Kangaroo Island. Despite being only 20 deg C and a few showers the valley is well sheltered from the elements and we packed up mid morning on Sunday with all our gear already dry. The shelter, outdoor table and rainwater was a blessing for cooking and having a place to pack our gear in the morning. No toilets means taking a shovel! No fires all year round to preserve the natural environment so wear layers if you feel the cold and a few good torches are a must. A beautiful part of Deep Creek I'd highly recommend.
